Carlos Maestas

Carlos believes storytelling is the best way organizations and people can move others to action. Through personal pain and spiritual growth, he discovered a passion for storytelling, especially for organizations with a significant social impact. He’s interviewed over 1,000 people in his career and has delivered powerful videos that draw in an audience by capitalizing on emotional connection and content.

In 20 years, Key Ideas has received 5 Lone Star Emmy nominations. His work has garnered multiple industry awards and garnered the attention of the British Broadcasting Corporation in 2013, which featured a public service announcement produced for St. PJ’s Children’s Home. 

He leads a workshop called Storytelling That Moves People across the US. His book on storytelling, Mommy Lied to God, launched in the summer of 2020 and quickly became an Amazon bestseller.

Mike Rosas

Mike is a recent graduate from the University of Texas' Cockrell School of Engineering where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a certificate in Environment and Sustainability. Since graduating, Mike has joined the KeyIdeas team as an Executive Producer and Co-host of the Authenticity podcast and works as a street designer for bike and pedestrian infrastructure in Austin, TX. Mike is passionate about making cities more accessible, equitable, and sustainable and building more resilient communities through human-scale design.

Stephanie Gaitan

A Jill-of-all-trades, Stephanie is the glue that holds Key Ideas together. As Senior Producer, Stephanie is responsible for managing internal and external communications, scheduling shoots, and being a guiding presence on set.

Stephanie brings a breadth of experience to the team, having worked with NBC, FOX, Univision, and Telemundo. At her core, she loves working with people and always has a smiling face and helping hand to offer, and as our bilingual producer, she ensures your story can be shared professionally and cross-culturally.

Stephanie holds a Master’s Degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. She is a graduate of the Latina Leadership Institute, a program created by the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and is also a certified Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
